  31. Too many of us, my self included, tend to fire off a response w/o rethinking,
  32. cooling off, and then thinking about it again. It is easy to misunderstand a
  33. remark or its intent. If you feel a need to reply, wait an hour, or better yet,
  34. a day, before turning on the flames. Perhaps you will cool off enough to skip
  35. it entirely (advice to myself).

  37. What could save a lot of grief is to comment off line. No need to clutter the
  38. ML with flames. An example -- invariably, someone will post a comment to the
  39. ML that I am wasting space, rather than emailing me directly, thus wasting
  40. even more space.
